On start up I get a script host error message " can not find C;\Program Files\Common Files\ComObject\progressbar.js"This does not seem to have any effect on the computer operating but am I doing any damage and if so are there any repairs I can carry out?Can anyone help please?"Progressbar.js" is a JavaScript progress bar. You apparently installed this (intentionally or otherwise) and then partially uninstalled it.Although you write that you see the error message on start up, I would expect something like this to be hooked to your browser, e.g., Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc. So please clarify, does the message come up during the boot-up sequence or only when you start the browser?

Hi icesilversaint,Adding to LemP’s question, you may configure the computer in clean boot and check if the issue persists. It will start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs and helps to eliminate software conflicts. The following link has steps showing how to perform clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353Note: Please ensure that the computer is set to start as usual by following the section ‘Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state’ from the article: How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" state: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353Hope the information helps.
